..music and cats.. the not-terribly-eventful life of Caro.

isn't it sad when the big excitement of the day is that i found out the name of some obscure cantonese song that has been living, uncredited, in my head and insisting that it is my favourite cantopop song of all time, for four years or so. (or whenever it was that Carrie used to lend me unnamed MDs of her canto/jap/koreapop collection.)

well, now i know. the song i love is "最佳位置", by Kelly Chen.

i found the lyrics, but once again my inability to read causes much difficulty in understanding what kind of song i have chosen to love.. i'm fervently hoping it isn't some form of break-up song, since it turns out i have an uncanny knack for choosing those as my favourite things to sing.. despite not knowing the meaning of the words.

Monday 14th January

I've been wistfully dreaming of a cat i saw at the Burwood RSPCA yesterday afternoon... I want to take her home!!

She's 5 years old and is a rather placid (but talkative!) black and orange domestic longhair tabby, with gorgeous soft fur and green eyes and a very sweet "meow".

Mum couldn't drag me from her enclosure. I kept wanting to go back.

Oh, sure, there are younger cats, and cuter cats (there was a darling gentle little ginger-white patchy tom in her enclosure as well) but she was the one I wanted to take home with me..

T-T ..my brother has promised to sneak back and buy her, but I'm fairly sure that on the off chance he did, Mother Dearest would hit the roof and send kitty back..

..Aw, man. I really want that cat.
