:: the darkness ::
eheheheh.. so i've been out of action for about a month because all my spare home-internets time since the Easter break has been taken up by this fabulously geeksome addiction called World of Warcraft ^-^ (oh, and if any of you play on the Barthilas server, please keep a kindly eye out for a small elf called Aeilfe who is rather prone to getting herself killed.)
and then on Wednesday - disaster struck! my home internets (as well as the electricity) went offline.. and i went super off-the-wall stir-crazy. gale force winds wreak havoc! so that night, my house was full of tealight candles, which Dad thought was wonderfully romantic. (i thought it just felt rather colonial, having to take a candle with you to the toilet and then trying not to burn the bathroom down when finding a place to safely put said candle.)
on Thursday, the lights were back on but the internet wasn't.. so i had to make my own fun. and when i'm super bored.. i get super hyper and annoying.
i ran round the house taking photos. i snapped the budgies, waking them up. i got one of mum telling me not to bother her. i got one of dad looking like a one-legged couch pirate. i got a close up of a jigsaw puzzle piece. i got a photo of my sock. and then, in a moment of inspiration, one of my sock and the bedroom light bulb so it looked like a SOCK ECLIPSE was taking place. i got a photo of my brother sprawled on his bed like a half-doped, half-poisoned murder victim. i got one of some carpet. i got one of the ceiling fan. i got one of me taking a photo in a mirror. i got one of some darkness. and then one of our modem and router not working properly. and then my hand basking in the router's mysterious in blue light.
on saturday, i met the four members of a rather humorous band called The Beards. they'll be back in melbourne in July, apparently - so that's something to keep an eye out for.
sunday night i played the hell out of my DS and attempted a crazy little farming game called Harvest Moon DS Cute.. which is all well and good except that it now appears one of the aims is to get married, and so i've lost interest already.
happily, i hear that my internet is now back up & running today, so you'll hear no more of me for awhile..
