happy days are here again

today's happiness: my new laptop is being shipped as we speak! huzzah!

it's taken a sizable chunk out of my savings account, but it's worth it for the happy.
also, andge needs our home pc more than i do. (i just want to play games & try out things in Open Canvas and Dreamweaver and Photoshop and.. and.. yay! The creative playingness to be had! The artiness to be tried out.. ooooooh.. ^-^)

am exceedingly excited despite mountainous pile of coding work in front of me today.

Dream-logic is scary. And I never want to drive again.

Sleep Theatre was more disturbing than usual.

Dreams of people with toes growing out of their mouths, where their teeth should have been. (Smiles have never looked so strange and freaky.)

Being followed by an incontinent aging boxer dog that hunches every few minutes to poop on the carpeted floor of a sports store.

Playing in the snow, and getting a nosebleed that no amount of tissues could stop. Losing so much more blood than a single body could possibly hold. Strangely enough, the blood doesn't melt the snow beneath..

Driving in the fast lane on the freeway, when suddenly an two indian men and a toddler run out in front of me.. turn the wheel, but the kid runs straight for the car. Call for an ambulance, while the kid's dad is screaming in my ear. Grandpa walks through a car. What the...? They're ghosts. And the toddler.. was dead before I hit him. Old stab wounds. He died a week ago..

Turns out, I'm just hallucinating. Seeing toe-teeth and pooper-dogs and ghosts because of a brain tumour. Aaa, right, that makes me feel soooo much better.

Picked one up on the way to work today for breakfast. Feeling better now.

Hmm. I think I offended PP last night when we all went to see Pirates II. He looked pissed off, and immediately left after the movie, leaving me and Van to play with Anna's pretty pink handbag (it's leathery, but soft! it's like a teddybear, only not bearlike..)

I get the feeling that bringing out the GBA is a major social gaffe.

I am getting sooooo bad at being nice to people.

Is it just me, or can I just not be arsed with friends lately?

wanting to be different in a "special" kind of way

Once again, my easily influenced self wants superpowers!

But I want the cool kind, not the "special" kind I currently have.

Right now my "special" powers are limited to being able to fall over myself, get shocked getting out of cars, and causing injuries with paper. (I threw a business card at my brother and gashed his forehead, drawing blood, much to the unhappiness of my mother.)

revisiting the cinema

it's been awhile, but I'm finally going to see another movie.

Managed to find some friends who haven't seen X-Men 3 yet, so yay! Tonight I'm going to watch the possible-implausible-but-still-entertaining 3rd installment of X-Men. With carriebah & kazzens.

It promises to be full of popcorn & hopefully a bit of eye-candy too. ^-^
